Trailer for ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Starring Lupita Nyong’o

Paramount Pictures has just released an exciting new trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One, the highly anticipated prequel to the successful A Quiet Place franchise. Directed by Michael Sarnoski and featuring a stellar cast led by Lupita Nyong’o, the film promises to take audiences back to the terrifying inception of the alien apocalypse.
Set to release on June 28, 2024, A Quiet Place: Day One diverges from the narrative of the Abbott family, which was central to the first two films, to explore the story of Sam, played by Nyong’o. The trailer reveals Sam’s harrowing experience in New York on the day the deadly extraterrestrial creatures, referred to as death angels, first make their devastating descent onto Earth. The scenes of chaos and destruction, coupled with the introduction of new characters Eric (Joseph Quinn) and the Man on the Island (Djimon Hounsou), set the stage for a gripping sci-fi horror adventure.
Unlike its predecessors, Day One delves into a time before humanity has learned to combat these ruthless invaders, portraying a raw and visceral struggle for survival. The destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge, as shown in the trailer, hints at the dire circumstances faced by Sam and her companions, raising questions about their fate and their potential significance in the broader context of the franchise.

The film, which also stars Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou reprising his role, is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski. It is based on an original story by John Krasinski, who has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of the A Quiet Place universe. The project, a collaboration between Paramount Pictures, Platinum Dunes, and Sunday Night Productions, began principal photography in London on February 6, 2023, and concluded on April 11.
A Quiet Place: Day One marks the third installment in the series, following the success of the previous films which established the franchise as a new cornerstone of American apocalyptic horror. With Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and John Krasinski producing, and a creative team that includes cinematographer Pat Scola and editor Andrew Mondshein, the film is poised to offer audiences a fresh and horrifying glimpse into the origins of its nightmarish world.
With its promise of intense action, emotional depth, and a deeper exploration of the A Quiet Place saga, Day One is set to be a pivotal addition to the franchise and we can’t wait to watch it!
