Stigmata Set to Haunt Fans Again

Capelight Pictures & Altitude Film Distribution have announced the upcoming release of the iconic 90s supernatural horror film, Stigmata, in the UK. Scheduled to hit the shelves on 11th December, the special 2-Disc Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray & DVD is set to give fans a unique and immersive experience.
Directed by Rupert Wainwright, Stigmata boasts an impressive cast featuring Oscar® winner Patricia Arquette, Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne, and Oscar® Nominee Jonathan Pryce. The film, released in 1999, is known for its dark and haunting atmosphere, complemented by an evocative score from Billy Corgan, the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins.
The plot revolves around Frankie Paige, played by Patricia Arquette, an atheist who undergoes a profound and unsettling transformation as she begins to experience the Stigmata—the living wounds of the crucified Christ. When the Vatican’s top investigator, Father Kiernan (Gabriel Byrne), learns of Frankie’s miraculous affliction and the provocative message she carries, a conspiracy unfolds within the Church.
In an effort to preserve the Church’s secrets, Cardinal Houseman (Jonathan Pryce) becomes convinced that Frankie must be silenced permanently. Father Kiernan, risking both his faith and his life, embarks on a mission to save Frankie and the earth-shattering message she bears.
