The Woodmen 2023

After months of intense filming in Georgia’s scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, Gray Sky Films and 105ive Films are thrilled to announce the wrap of their much-anticipated horror film, The Woodmen. As post-production begins, suspense is building in the horror community who are eagerly awaiting its release.

The Woodmen, a thrilling narrative masterminded by Joshua Brucker, promises a fresh approach to the horror genre. Brucker, both the writer and director of the film, has expressed his profound admiration for his ensemble cast’s exceptional performances. He stated, “The level of talent and dedication displayed by the actors was truly inspiring. They not only brought their characters to life but also pushed their boundaries, leaving me in awe of their prowess. I am already looking forward to our next collaboration.”

The found-footage movie unfolds the harrowing tale of three individuals who find themselves in a desperate fight for survival. Trapped in the Great Smoky Mountains, they must outwit a clan of feral humans who will stop at nothing to defend their territory. The film showcases the talents of Anna Clary, Dan Grogan, and Hunter Nino, who deliver stunning performances that promise to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Despite running a lean crew, the collective efforts and dedication of the team have impressed producer Louie La Vella. La Vella praised Brucker’s leadership and the team’s cohesive effort, stating, “This project required all hands on deck, and I am proud to have been part of such a hardworking and dedicated team.”

The film was part-funded by a Kickstarter campaign which managed to attain its financial goal as well as being a great way to raise awareness of the release.

As the film now ventures into the post-production stage, anticipation among the film’s supporters continues to grow. Brucker’s storytelling combined with a solid cast and intense narrative promises to make The Woodmen a highlight in the indie horror movie landscape.
