Renfield – official trailer

Get ready to sink your teeth into Renfield, the highly-anticipated monster movie hitting cinemas on April 14! The official trailer has just dropped, and it’s a spine-chilling sneak peek at what promises to be a modern take on one of horror’s most infamous characters.
Renfield, played by Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men franchise), is the loyal servant of none other than Dracula himself, portrayed by Oscar® winner Nicolas Cage. But after centuries of being at his master’s beck and call, Renfield is starting to wonder if there’s more to life than being a lackey to the Prince of Darkness.
Horror fans will realise that this isn’t Nic Cage’s first time appearing on screen with long fangs. In the 1988 film Vampires Kiss he played Peter Loew, a man who believes he is gradually transforming into a fully-fledged blood-sucker, after being bitten on the neck.
Directed by Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War, The LEGO Batman Movie) and written by Ryan Ridley (Ghosted series, Rick & Morty series), Renfield is based on an original idea by The Walking Dead and Invincible creator Robert Kirkman. The film promises to explore the psychological torment of Renfield as he struggles to break free from his codependent relationship with Dracula.
Joining Hoult and Cage are an all-star cast, including Awkwafina (The Farewell, Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings), Ben Schwartz (Sonic, The Afterparty), Adrian Martinez (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Focus), and Emmy winner and Oscar® nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Saddam, House of Sand and Fog).
Renfield is produced by Skybound Entertainment partners Robert Kirkman and David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Invincible), co-presidents Bryan Furst (Daybreakers) and Sean Furst (Daybreakers), and by Chris McKay. McKay’s producing partner Samantha Nisenboim (co-producer, The Tomorrow War) will executive produce.
Make sure you mark your calendars for April 14 and get ready to experience the terror and thrill of Renfield on the big screen. This is one monster movie you won’t want to miss!
