After months of waiting, and after being set thinking with a tantalising teaser trailer, movie lovers can finally get a better idea of what Jordan Peele’s film Nope is all about.
It’s now clear that Jordan Peele’s third film “Nope” is all about UFO’s. This is a big of a direction change following his Oscar-winning 2018 directorial debut Get Out and 2019’s Us, which were far more ‘down to earth’ in their subject matter.
Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as brother-sister duo James and Jill Haywood, who run Hollywood’s only Black-owned horse ranch. Having a film making ancestry, the pair decide to turn their own camera towards the skies when they see something unusual above the clouds.
But their plan to sell the UFO footage hits a hitch when they discover that the aliens that are hovering above out planet are abducting people.
Nope debuts in cinemas on July 22, 2022 (or August 12th in the UK)
