21st Annual Shriekfest Announces its Opening Night Feature Film

Shriekfest, the longest running international horror and sci-fi film festival in Los Angeles is back for it’s 21st year bringing with it a host of horrible movies.
This year, the fantastic fest (which also hosts a fabulous screenplay competition) will open with Witness Infection, a film directed by Andy Palmer (2018 Shriekfest Winner for Camp Cold Brook) and starring Robert Belushi (Chicago P.D, How I Met Your Mother, Devil’s Due).
In Witness Infection two rival mob families are transferred from the Witness Protection Program to the same city by mistake. Life has always been pretty protected for Carlo Serrelli. But his past is about to come back and bite him. Carlo’s father has kept him out of the deadly mob business by giving him a job at the family dog groomers, while his younger brother, Dominic, has always done the dirty work. All that is coming to an end as Carlo’s father has to force him into an arranged marriage with the daughter of the rival Miola family boss. Carlo’s two best friends, Gina and Vince, vow to help him get out of this.

The Shriekfest Film Festival runs September 30th – October 3rd, and will host an additional 7 features and 65 short films.
