Jinga Films announce launch of Horror Distribution arm, Danse Macabre

Jinga Films are delighted to announce the launch of their new distribution arm, Danse Macabre. Under the Jinga umbrella, Danse Macabre will be focused on the distribution of horror films in the English speaking territories, UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Danse Macabre will also act as a horror sales sub-label within Jinga Films whilst Jinga itself expands to include a wider range of genres, including arthouse.

Much like Jinga Films, Danse Macabre is co-owned by Julian Richards and Rosana Coutinho. Julian was thrilled to confirm the news. “Danse Macabre will be the home for horror, run by horror fans for horror fans. We travel the world, select the best films and will bring them to our audience in a terrific package.

Jinga has established a reputation for outstanding horror films from across the globe including The Last Horror Movie, Rabies, A Serbian Film, The House At The End Of Time, The Canal, Our Evil and Still/Born. Danse Macabre will continue that tradition but as a distributor in the UK, US and Australia. Taking our inspiration from former UK label Tartan Films, we will offer genre fans a selection of exotic titles that might never find distribution in the mainstream market, whilst also releasing mainstream titles theatrically and through supermarkets.”

Danse Macabre will be distributing five titles across 2020. Both Antrum (26th Oct) & The Ringmaster (16th Nov) will have theatrical releases alongside their home entertainment release. Gags the Clown (5th Oct), Purgatory Road (2nd Nov) and All The Creatures Were Stirring (23rd Nov) will be released across DVD & Digital.

Danse Macabre are currently planning their 2021 slate and have confirmed the release of Tomaz Gorkic’s award winning vampire horror THE CURSE OF VALBURGA, Megan Freels Johnston’s black comedy slasher THE ICE CREAM TRUCK, Tini Tullman’s psychological thriller FREDDY/EDDY which premiered at FrightFest, Justin Reisbuller’s New York set slasher CENTRAL PARK, Mark Sheridan’s folk horror CRONE WOOD, RP Kahl’s erotic thriller ECSTASY starring Deborah Kara Ungar, Severin Eskelands controversial psychological horror LUST and SHIVER, the psychological horror starring John Jarratt, Danielle Harris, Casper Van Dien and directed by Jinga Films & Danse Macabre’s own Julian Richards.
