The Gallows Opens Today
The dark and disturbing release that is The Gallows opens in UK cinemas today.
Directed by Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing and from the same production house that has brought us Sinister, Oculus and The Purge, The Gallows revolves around a stage performance with a dark history.
In 1993, Beatrice High School decide that their theatrical performance for the year will be ‘The Gallows’. Preparations go well until just before the performance when the lead role is swapped, a prop malfunctions and one of the performers is accidentally killed in front of the audience.
Understandably, the local community is shaken and the play isn’t performed again. But years later a group of students decide to ignore superstition and bring The Gallows back to the stage and honour its anniversary. It soon becomes obvious that some things are better left alone as the students actions have made someone or something is very unhappy.
This is a film not to be missed for found footage fans. Grab yourself a front row seat for the performance now.
