The Houses October Built Seeks Buyer
To those of you living outside of the US, the ‘Haunted Houses’ phenomenon might not be too familiar.
But each year over the Halloween period numerous attractions pop up across America offering ‘real scares’ at attractions featuring costumed actors, creepy locations and scary special effects.
The Houses October built is a documentary/found footage film that looks at this shadowy corner of the entertainment industry that attracts in the region of 30 million visitors each year.
The film, co-written and directed by Bobby Roe is now seeing a buyer to take on the finished product and release it upon the world. According to The Wrap, the film, produced by Zack Andrews and Steven ‘Paranormal Activity’ Schneider will be showcased at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival where it will no doubt turn heads (and perhaps some stomachs).
It’s hoped that the film, being touted as ‘the best found footage horror film since Paranormal Activity’ will be snapped up and get a speedy release. Who knows, maybe even in time for Halloween 2014?
