The Cabin in the Woods – Trailer Released

An official trailer was just released for upcoming film, The Cabin in the Woods.  The film is the directorial debut of Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard.  So far marketing for the film has included several different plays on common horror cliches that genre fans know all too well.

The plot centers on a group of college students who visit an abandoned cabin in the woods.  What awaits them there is only hinted at in the trailer.  Genre fans can only hope that the film will play on cliches as well as the marketing does.  Until its release on April 13, 2012, however, we can only speculate.
