Deadheads Interview Spectacular

Love Horror is always excited about Frightfest, and this year we’re probably even more excited than normal because of the wealth of great films that are being screened – great films like Deadheads.

The Frightfest team seems to have outdone themsleves deadheads movie posterwith this year’s selection. But mixed up with the disturbing, horrible and downright terrifying movies that will be on offer there are a couple that approach the genre from a different angle – with an element of comedy.

Deadheads has been described as being a “zombedy” giving not only a light-hearted take on the afterlife, but also appying a liberal amount of action to add to the entertainment. In the words of the production team it’s ‘Horror, meets comedy, meets action adventure’.
Combining these elements may sound overly ambitious, but initial feedback from critics is that writer/director duo the Pierce brothers have managed to strike the perfect balance and produce something truely creative and refreshing.

Drawing from the great comedy/adventure films of the 80’s, the tale follows two zombie slackers, Mike and Brent, who find themselves surprisingly reborn from the dead amid a disastrous zombie outbreak. After discovering an engagement ring in his coat pocket, Mike enlists his new found zombie pal, Brent, to embark on a quest in search of his lost love.

It’s a cross country road trip filled with blood, action and fun as the zom-buddies tackle the arduous journey persued by zombie killing bounty hunters and meeting various other characters and obstacles on the way.
