Dubbed as ‘a new vision’ from the producers of the original horror classic, directed and written by Fede Alvarez, written by Sam Raimi and produced by Bruce Campbell (and Sam Raimi), Evil Dead is in cinemas on April 19th.

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

  • Saw the 1st showing the other night in Canada- before the snarky crowds came. I will say, before I forget, stay for the last of the credits for a surprise.

The film is excellent – though the fun of the original is missing. I will also say, the movie has a horrible scene that I have never seen in any recent horror movie.
