‘Keeper’ Teaser Reveals Perkins’ Latest Vision of Intimate Terror
NEON has released the first teaser for Keeper, Osgood Perkins’ latest feature that continues his streak of bold and unconventional entries into the horror genre. The film is set to arrive in cinemas on 14 November, marking Perkins’ third collaboration with the distributor in just over a year.

Described as a one-location horror film with an unsettling psychological core, Keeper centres on a married couple’s anniversary retreat to a remote cabin. Tatiana Maslany stars as the wife whose solitude is interrupted by a sinister presence after her husband, played by Rossif Sutherland, abruptly leaves. As the cabin’s dark past surfaces, Maslany’s character is drawn into a time-bending ordeal that exposes a predator’s grotesque ritual of collecting women to torture.
The script, penned by Nick Lepard, was shot during the 2023 industry strikes, falling neatly between Perkins’ productions of Longlegs and The Monkey. In a recent interview, Perkins credited the film’s existence to the timing of the strikes and praised Lepard’s contribution, calling Keeper a “beautiful, beautiful movie” and hailing Maslany as “just the greatest” for her commanding presence on screen.

Perkins has carved a distinctive niche with NEON, becoming the first filmmaker to sign a first-look deal with the studio earlier this year. Known for defying expectations, he described his current run of films as each existing in “a one of one” space, with Keeper exploring themes of relationships through a horror lens. While Longlegs offered a stylised serial killer tale and The Monkey toyed with dark humour and mortality, Keeper promises a quieter but equally disturbing meditation on intimacy, trust and violence.
The teaser trailer (which you can watch below), hints at a claustrophobic atmosphere punctuated by disorienting shifts in time and reality, aligning with Perkins’ penchant for psychological unease. The director’s layered approach to genre storytelling continues to position him as one of contemporary horror’s most unpredictable auteurs.
Keeper opens in UK and US cinemas on 14 November.
