‘The Haunting at Jack the Ripper’s House’ Secures Coveted FrightFest Slot
The Haunting at Jack the Ripper’s House has secured a coveted World Premiere slot at London’s iconic Odeon Leicester Square, as part of FrightFest 2025. Screening on 23 August at 6:30 PM, the feature marks an ambitious debut from filmmakers Stephen Staley and Natasha Tosini, who also take leading roles in the chilling production.

Chosen from thousands of international submissions, the selection cements the film’s place among this year’s most hotly anticipated titles at the UK’s largest genre festival. The pair, who wrote, directed, produced and starred in the project under the TAW Entertainment banner, described the milestone as surreal, acknowledging FrightFest’s reputation as a platform for bold new voices in horror.
The film follows the Haunt Hunters, a group of YouTube content creators determined to prove the legitimacy of their paranormal investigations. Their latest challenge takes them to the infamous Jack the Ripper Manor, a site steeped in historical infamy. What begins as a search for viral content quickly descends into horror as the group unwittingly rouses a sinister force connected to one of history’s most notorious figures. By drawing inspiration from theories surrounding Aaron Kosminski, a prime Ripper suspect, the story weaves historical speculation with contemporary found-footage horror.

The cast features Staley as Darren and Tosini as Belle, alongside an array of talent including Elliott Eason as Ste, Danielle Scott as Zara, Kelly Rian Sanson as Demi, and Sophie Rankin, Jenny Miller, Eugenia Kuzmina and Lauren Staerck portraying influencers. David Sayers appears as a police officer, with Jack Hoy as Jake, Sarah Lockett as a news reporter, and Tai White in the role of the killer. Supporting performances from Robert Hedley, Heaven-Leigh Spence, Will Wickham, Jack Hyde and Eglantine Samway round out the ensemble.
Staley and Tosini’s backgrounds lend an added layer of intrigue to the production. Staley, whose credits include Jurassic Valley and Curse of Jack Frost, balances his acting career with a past in business and modelling. Tosini, known for her breakout in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, has built a diverse career in genre film and as a cover model for FHM. Together, they founded TAW Entertainment in 2024 to create innovative documentaries and features for global audiences.

Distributed by ITN, The Haunting at Jack the Ripper’s House promises to blend modern social media culture with the enduring fascination surrounding Victorian London’s most chilling mystery. Its FrightFest debut positions it as a potential breakout hit among the festival’s eclectic line-up.
