‘Dead Howling’ Sets UK Premiere Ahead of Digital and Blu-ray Release
Halloween night at FrightFest is about to get even more feral. Dead Howling, the new post-apocalyptic horror from director John V. Soto, will receive its UK premiere at Tubi FrightFest Halloween on 31 October, giving audiences the chance to see its zombie-versus-werewolf carnage on the big screen before the film heads to home entertainment just two days later.

Set in a world devastated by a zombie virus, the film follows Carter, played by Joel Jackson, a solitary survivor who has turned hunting the undead into a grim routine.
His isolation comes to an end when he rescues siblings Megan and Billy, who are attempting to reach a rumoured safe zone. Carter reluctantly agrees to escort them, but their journey quickly becomes more complicated as the threat from the infected evolves and other survivors prove every bit as dangerous as the monsters pursuing them.
The film’s central hook pushes the familiar post-apocalyptic formula into more unusual territory by throwing werewolves into a landscape already crawling with zombies, setting up a collision between two of horror cinema’s most enduring creatures.

Jackson leads a cast that also includes Ryan Kwanten, known to horror audiences from Dead Silence and television’s True Blood, alongside Temuera Morrison and Tom Burlinson.
Behind the scenes, Dead Howling also carries some notable genre connections, coming from producers associated with Dog Soldiers and Terrifier 3. The former is particularly fitting given the new film’s interest in bringing werewolf mythology into a survival-horror setting dominated by the undead.
The film has been selected for Tubi FrightFest Halloween’s 2026 programme and will screen twice at ODEON Luxe West End on 31 October, giving festival audiences two opportunities to catch the UK premiere.
Those unable to make the FrightFest screenings won’t have long to wait. Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment will release Dead Howling on digital, DVD and Blu-ray from 2 November, with digital availability through platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Sky, Google and Rakuten.
