R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead Is Now Streaming Free on Tubi UK

Halloween has arrived early for younger horror fans, with R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead now available to stream free on Tubi in the UK. Inspired by the work of the bestselling Goosebumps creator, the seasonal horror adventure follows a teenager racing to save his missing brother from a harvest curse before Halloween runs out.

The film centres on 13-year-old Sam, played by Bean Reid, whose move to the small town of Redhaven quickly becomes the least of his problems. His younger brother Finn suddenly vanishes and, more disturbingly, nobody else appears to remember that he ever existed.

Determined to get him back, Sam teams up with his friend Becka and local outsider Rusty as they begin uncovering the truth behind a sinister curse connected to the town’s Halloween traditions.

“There’s something rotten inside these pumpkins, and it isn’t pumpkin meat!” said R.L. Stine. “I’m so happy to see one of my most terrifying Halloween stories brought to chilling life in this new movie!”

Written and directed by Jem Garrard, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead stars Reid alongside Adeline Lo, Kevin McNulty, Bob Frazer, Matty Finochio and Seth Isaac Johnson.

The film mixes supernatural horror with mystery and adventure, making it a more accessible seasonal watch for younger audiences while still leaning into the monsters, disappearances and cursed folklore associated with Stine’s work.

Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer at Tubi, described the film as “a playful blend of good fun, big scares with an element of adventure that taps into everything audiences love about Halloween and horror”.

He added that the project forms part of Tubi’s growing slate of genre programming intended to appeal across generations.

The UK launch gives Tubi another recognisable horror title for the run-up to Halloween, while also introducing the film to audiences who may already know Stine through Goosebumps and The Haunting Hour.
