Grimmfest Sets 2026 Line-Up In Motion With Screenings Galore

Grimmfest has begun rolling out details of its 2026 programme, with earlybird weekend passes now available for the Manchester-based horror festival ahead of its return from 8 to 11 October. The announcement signals another packed year for the event, which continues to expand beyond its core festival dates with preview screenings, special presentations and new distribution activity under its own label.

Alongside ticket sales for the October festival, organisers have confirmed that the full schedule is already live, including the option to purchase a Gala Opening Night Pass at earlybird pricing. The move allows regular attendees to plan well in advance, with Grimmfest positioning the 2026 edition as a centrepiece of the city’s autumn cultural calendar.

Before the main festival arrives, Grimmfest is lending its support to a major concert cinema event celebrating The Silence of the Lambs. Taking place at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 31 January 2026, the screening will present Jonathan Demme’s Academy Award-winning film accompanied by a live performance of Howard Shore’s score by the Hallé orchestra. Conducted by Caleb Young and presented in association with Big Screen Live, the event offers audiences the chance to experience the film’s music in a concert setting more than three decades after its original release.

Grimmfest is also hosting a preview screening of Primate, directed by Johannes Roberts, giving local audiences early access to the film ahead of its wider UK release. The screening is scheduled for 7.30pm on Friday 23 January at Odeon Great Northern in Manchester, positioning it as a winter highlight for genre fans. Attendees will also be eligible to enter a raffle for a prize bundle sponsored by Paramount Home Entertainment.

In addition to live events and screenings, Grimmfest has confirmed the first release under its newly launched Grimvision label. M: Beyond the Wasteland, which previously won Best Film at the festival, is now available to buy or rent via Amazon Prime in the UK. Set in a world devastated by a pandemic, the film follows a lone survivor navigating an increasingly hostile environment outside the safety of the forest.

With earlybird passes on sale and activity spanning from January through to October, Grimmfest continues to broaden its footprint across exhibition, events and distribution. For more information and to book your tickets, visit: www.grimmfest.com
