Survival Above the Line in New Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Elevation’
The pulse-pounding sci-fi thriller Elevation is set to stream exclusively on Prime Video from 8 February, bringing audiences a high-stakes story of survival, loss, and courage. From the creative forces behind A Quiet Place and The Purge, the film stars Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool), Maddie Hasson (Malignant), and Danny Boyd Jr. (Watchmen). Directed by George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau), Elevation promises a gripping exploration of a world irrevocably changed by disaster.

Set against the stark beauty of the Rocky Mountains, Elevation imagines a future where the last remnants of humanity survive above 8,000 feet, the only zone safe from the monstrous creatures that decimated the population three years prior. Below this threshold—ominously known as “The Line”—lurks certain death. For Anthony Mackie’s character, a devoted father, descending into this perilous terrain is not a choice but a desperate necessity.
When his son’s life hangs in the balance, he is forced to team up with a scientist, portrayed by Morena Baccarin, whose intellect he begrudgingly relies on, and a fearless young woman, played by Maddie Hasson, whose tenacity might be the key to their survival. Together, the trio embarks on a harrowing journey into the depths of danger, battling unimaginable threats both external and internal, to uncover whether hope can still exist in a fractured world.

Director George Nolfi paints a hauntingly vivid picture of survival, weaving together adrenaline-fuelled action and profound existential questions. Filmed in the rugged Colorado Rockies and an active mine over a mile underground, the authentic settings bring an unmatched intensity and realism to the screen.
Beyond its visual spectacle, Elevation is set to explore humanity’s dual potential for creation and destruction, asking whether technological advancements and survival instincts are ultimately tools of salvation or seeds of ruin. Nolfi’s third collaboration with Mackie highlights a visceral, character-driven story grounded in both emotional depth and heart-pounding stakes.

Audiences can witness this tale of resilience, ingenuity, and the lengths people will go to for the ones they love when Elevation launches on Prime Video this February.
