In this new interview with Abel recorded for this release, he discusses why he cast himself in the title role after initially asking David Johansen of The New York Dolls!

One of the most notorious of the ‘video nasties’, Abel Ferrara’s exploitation-art-house crossover was judged almost entirely on its video artwork with the lm itself left out of the equation.
