Not 1 but 2 sport related zombie movies are set to take our homes by storm this July hoping to entertain us more than the Rio 2014 and the Olympics combined helping us remember its not the winning its the taking people apart that counts!
Out first on the 7th July 2014 Goal of the Dead is directed by Thierry Poiraud and Benjamin Rocher (The Horde) featuring Ahmed Sylla and Alban Lenoir. The story follows a professional football team arrives at their lowly local-rivals stadium for an end of season friendly, when a zombie apocalypse turns the hostile fans into flesh-eating undead hooligans. Transcending usual horror audiences, Goal of the Dead is a zombie football bloodbath for the masses.
Labelled one of the greatest zombie films in years, The Battery released on the 21st July 2014, successfully drives heart and authenticity back into the zombie franchise. Ben and Mickey are two former baseball players who clash as they traverse the rural back roads of a post-zombie apocalypse New England, teeming with the undead. Written and directed by Jeremy Gardner The Battery stars Jeremy Gardner and Adam Cronheim.
