Tell us about your film?
Hopefully I can show it vs having to tell. Teasing. Little Horror Movie is really an encapsulation of a lot of my childhood fears, it is set in Casablanca-Morocco where I grew up and follows three Youtubers on a quest for more views. Now go see it ?

How did you get into making horror movies?
I am not sure…I think they came to me, rather… I was 10 years old when my mom bought me an 8mm Chinon camera. The natural thing for me to do was to start shooting little horror movies in my backyard. At the time, I had no idea the Chinon camera was cursed and that it would turn me into a filmmaker…

What is your view on horror in 2018 and how would you change it?
This is the most important question and I am glad it is asked. We need to go back to the originals, to movies with atmosphere, characters, and real stories. I like drama in a horror film. The innocents, The Changeling, The Wicker Man, Don’t look now, when you watch those movies, what stays with you the most is the characters. That’s virtually gone from today’s landscape.

What is your favourite horror film and why?
I don’t have an all time favourite as I mentioned, it’s really a body of films mostly from the seventies and eighties that really speak to me, those slow burn Drama/Horror like “The Exorcist”, “The Omen”, “The Shinning”.

If Hollywood came knocking and gave you anything you wanted what movie would you make and who would it star?
I would make a slow burn drama disguised as a horror film. Something that would give an audience the ability to reflect on their own demons and fears. At the end of the day, what drives us all in this arena is fear, whether it is fear of dying… fear of living… I would like to make a film that deals with fear itself. As far of who would be the star, it would be the story.
