We may be in the middle of a period in history straight out of a horror film but the pandemic has not stopped FrightFest which is back in 2020 in a new online form and bringing the best new horror from across the globe to stream exclusively into your homes. Our exclusive interview feature Five FrightFest Facts From… is also back quizzing the talent behind the terror and giving you an added insight. 1. Tell us about your film?
HAIL TO THE DEADITES is a documentary about the fans of the EVIL DEAD films and explores the classic franchise’s undying and ever-growing popularity!. The goal to make a film for the fans but also by the fans. From fan film to Evil Dead tribute song,everything you will see or hear in this movie what done by a Deadites and this is making us really proud.

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
It start in 2001 when I was leaving in a big apartment building in Montreal. A friend and I decided to rent a place in the same building. A couple of time a week, I would cross the hall and go watch horror movie. At some point he start to show me film that he bought because of an ad he saw in the Fangoria magazine. I remember, we were watching the films and telling ourselves “Wow, we can do better than that”.

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
I must say Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. Back to back screenings with Bruce Campbell to introduce the movie!!

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
The Deadites award! A undead spirits award that seek to possess a body and feast on the souls of living creatures. The Deadites award would be give the best Grooviest film of the festival.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
Title: I swallow your soul
Synopsis : A not so young filmmaker see the script he is writing turn into a demoniac book who try to make him live his own story. Will he survive?
