Five FrightFest Facts From Ben Kent director of F.U.B.A.R

1. Tell us about your film?
F.U.B.A.R is a comedy horror about a stag weekend at a zombie survival paintball experience that goes a little… well, F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition!

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
I’ve always been a huge fan of horror and particularly comedy horror. When I made my first horror short, Love Bug, I quickly realised if there’s one thing more fun than making a film, it’s making a film where you get to play with lots of fake blood, prosthetics and weaponry.

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
It’s not very imaginative, but I’d have to say Jaws as I never got to see it on the big screen. (And for all my friends who keep trying to tell me it’s not a horror film, I’d like to remind them it’s about a huge fricking shark that eats men, women, children and, most tragically, dogs.)

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
It’d be the Private Hudson award for best on screen freakout. Because I’m still sad about Bill Paxton and F.U.B.A.R was originally called Game Over.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
I think it’d be called Control Freak. Larry David would play me as I micro-managed people till their heads exploded with frustration, Scanners style.
