Unfriended Trailer

Another day and another trailer, this time we’re going social with Unfriended.

In an interesting detour from the usual found footage films, Unfriended is looking to stand out from the crowd with its ‘filmed from a video chat’ angle.
The idea as usual is that we should ‘all be careful what we post online’. Yes, it’s great to share your fun, best times, but what if you’re filmed doing something embarrassing? As you probably already know, erasing such a thing from social media is near impossible.

And that’s what happens to poor Laura Barnes in this fictional tale. When her friends share some of her embarassing drunken escapades on a social network she is driven to suicide.

Unfriended 2015

A year on 6 of her former ‘friends’ are meeting online. Strangely there seems to be an uninvited seventh member to the conference and stranger still, they can’t cut this person off.
Soon it’s discovered that the mysterious character is using Laura’s old account and they want some answers about who shared the humiliating video.

Much like I Know What You Did Last Summer each of the group had a role to play in Laura’s death and the person controlling her account is out for bloody revenge.

Unfriended stars Shelley Hennig, Moses Jacob Storm, Renee Olstead, Will Peltz, Jacob Wysocki, Courtney Halverson and Heather Sossaman and is the brain child of Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and is produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions (Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Insidious etc) among others.
