Two Underrated Classic Horror Films Heading to Blu Ray

Before George A. Romero sucked the life out of his famous Dead series, he directed and wrote the screenplays for ‘Monkey Shines’ and ‘The Dark Half’, two underrated classic horror films. ‘Monkey Shines’ is based off a book with the same name written by Michael Stewart and ‘The Dark Half’ is an adaption of Stephen King’s novel.

And while these two movies have been available in DVD form for quite some, they have yet to be available in Hi-Definition.

That is until now.

On November 18th, Scream Factory will release these two must-haves-for-any-horror-fan on Blu Ray. And while the main attraction is the film itself, fans will not be disappointed with all the extras that Scream Factory are including in the release.

The special features for ‘Monkey Shines’ include:

  • An Experiment in Fear: The Making of ‘Monkey Shines’ (49 minutes)
  • Alternate ending
