Just when you thought we had seen enough movies about little girls getting possessed by demons, here comes The Conjuring 2.
Following on from 2013’s successful first installment, which grossed $319 million worldwide (making it the second highest grossing ‘original’ horror of all time), The Conjuring 2 sees Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) and Patrick Wilson (the “Insidious” films) reprise their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren.
The duo are sent on one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travelling to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
In case you hadn’t noticed, the film is loosely based on the 1977 Enfield hauntings incident, which has been the inspiration for many a dramatisation, including the recent (and rather good) Sky 1 production, The Enfield Haunting.
You can bet that there will be a lot more action, effects, glitz and artistic licence in James Wan’s Conjuring movie though.
The Counjuring 2 hits cinemas on June 13th and you can find more information on the film using the various social channels – Like the official page at https://www.facebook.com/TheConjuringUK, Twitter https://twitter.com/WBHorrorUK
