New Godzilla Poster Revealed

Okay, so we all know Godzilla pretty well and his giant dinosaur-like appearance may not strike fear into your heart.

But put simply, this is one BIG monster movie that it’s going to be hard to miss in the coming months.

Since its humble beginnings back in 1954, the Japanese born gargantuan lizard has had his ups and downs. After appearing in numerous awesome Ishiro Honda films, Godzilla was later cartoonised and then desecrated by the 1998 Hollywood ‘blockbuster’, the most impressive aspect of which was the soundtrack.
After being transformed from an awesome monster fighting, city destroying titan to just another abomination of nature willing to do anything to protect her offspring, it looked like Godzilla was destined to never return from that dark place beneath the sea.

Thankfully though, a new imagining of this iconic creature is about to hit the screens again and by the looks of it, this latest effort seems to be far more influenced by the early films.
It looks like the big, green, water dwelling, giant lizard that we love is finally back doing what it does best. Causing mass destruction and entertaining us in the process.

This latest poster gives us a tantalising taste of what lies in store. And we don’t have to wait long either as the film gets a nationwide release on May 16th.

Gareth Edwards directs “Godzilla,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai,” “Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient,” “Cosmopolis”), and Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck.,” “The Bourne Legacy”) and Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”).
