Not satisfied with presenting their Grimmlins with pulse-pounding previews and premieres, gruesome guests, and spooky seminars, Grimm Up North also have a sackload of fearsome freebies available for their festival attendees which makes going to Grimm the deal of the century.
Just to whet your bloody appetites, here are just a few of the items you’ll have the opportunity to win at this year’s screenings and some reasons why a Grimm pass is worth every penny:
If you’re planning to spend a few days with us then you already know that the Grimm Up North Festival Pass is a Hell of a bargain: Seventeen features and one exclusive celebrity seminar for the knockdown price of £70 (£60 concessions). That’s only £3.80 a film / £3.30 Concessions. But what if you have other commitments for one or other of the days of the festival, or don’t want to see every film?
Well, consider this: Festival Passes have to be redeemed at the box office for the 18 individual cinema tickets. And once you have those tickets in your hot little hands, you can use them as you wish. So if you can’t commit to every film you can still save money if you split the cost of a pass with a friend. The only problem then will be arguments over who gets to see what.
Oh, and how you divide up the contents of the Festival Goodie Bag. Yep, each pass holder gets an exclusive free goodie bag, when they show their festival pass at the Grimm info desk It’s got posters, DVDs, t-shirts, all manner of cool stuff from our lovely festival sponsors.
But people buying individual tickets needn’t feel too left out. We also have a sackload of fearsome freebies, which we’ll be handing out to lucky festival goers at selected screenings.
At our gala preview of STALKER we’ll have a copy of the film poster, signed by the entire cast.
At THE WOMAN, we’ll have three posters to give away, each of them signed, or possibly smeared with blood and offal by the fearsome title star Pollyanna McIntosh.
At the UK premiere of the HP Lovecraft Society’s startling screen version THE WHISPERER IN DARKNESS festival-goers will be able to win not only the film poster, but also a copy of the Arkham Horror board game.
And whether you can attend our opening Gala or not (and obviously, we really think you should), you’ll still have the opportunity to live it up a little. Manchester 235 Casino, our party hosts and official festival bar and chill out space, are offering festival-goers 20% off all food and drink for the duration of the festival. It’s a chance to eat and drink in James Bond style at a reasonable price. And remember, folks, it’s a Casino, so the bar is open LATE. Worth mentioning too, that by registering with the casino, festival goers can get free parking.
