Amityville Horror House sells

How about this for some great horror news?  The house that bore the story of the classic ‘Amityville Horror’ movie has apparently been sold, even though it was the location of the famous multiple murder.

Our horror news source claims that the home, address 108 Ocean Ave, Long Island was on the market for $1.5 million, but the actual sale price is unconfirmed.

Ronald DeFeo Jr. shot his parents and four siblings dead at the house 36 years ago. After the murders, another family moved in but stayed for less than a month after complaining of ghosts. It was their story that was dramatised with the novel ‘The Amityville Horror: A True Story’ and the movies that followe it.

Quite why anyone would want to live there, I don’t know, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it was a crazed horror freak who was desperate to get a piece of horror movie history!
