Amazon Prime Video releases all-new teaser trailer from upcoming Original series, Truth Seekers

Yesterday, Amazon Prime Video released the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated UK Amazon Original show, Truth Seekers, during the San Diego Comic-Con@Home virtual panel.

Hosted by Chris Hewitt, the panel was attended by the series’ Cast, Writers and Creators Nick Frost, Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz (Sicknote), where they discussed how Truth Seekers came to be, and what it was like working alongside each other. For ease, we’ve pulled out a few key quotes from the panel below:

“The one deal breaker for me, playing Dave, was that I wear a terrible wig – one that makes me look like a mannequin” – Simon Pegg (13:08)
“Working with Nick feels like coming home. It’s my base line for working” – Simon Pegg (17:03)
“I just love looking on the call sheet and seeing that Simon’s in, because you know you’re going to have a laugh. You get to work with your best mate, you know” – Nick Frost (18:15)

On ghost hunting with Nick: “We’d occasionally drive out to an abbey or a church. We found the original Highgate Tube station and it was like we stepped into this unknown world. Nick knocked himself out and I thought he was messing around so I just left him in the wood, he’s never forgiven me.” – Simon Pegg (22:56)

Starring Nick Frost as Gus and Simon Pegg as Dave, Truth Seekers is a Supernatural Comedy Drama Series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see.

However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race. The series also features Samson Kayo, Malcolm McDowell, Emma D’Arcy and Susan Wokoma.
