6 Judges 6 Winners 6 Seconds to Scare

imgresHorror director Eli Roth has launched a brand new competition to see who can scare a panel of celebrities and win themselves a chance to have their idea developed by Roth and a major Hollywood production company.

Running the competition through his brilliant horror app The Crypt the idea is simple. Upload your 6 second scary video to Twitter and or Vine hashtag #6secondscare and tag and follow The Crypt @fearthecrypt thats it.

The videos will be judged by an all-star panel including Roth himself, Rob Lowe, Kid Cudi, Elijah Wood, Vanessa Hudgens, and Quentin Tarantino all hoping to be scared to death by entrant’s imaginative movies.The-Crypt

Roth encourages anyone deciding to take part to think outside the box asking for all types of content from thrillers to dark comedies to all out horror. The winner will be announced on Halloween during Roth’s all-night horror marathon at Quentin Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re from Iowa or Iceland, Brazil or Brussels” said Roth “if you make a short on your phone for the #SixSecondScare we will see it. I remember the feeling of being 22 with a short film, dying to get anyone in the industry to watch it — that’s all you want when you’re starting out, and now we’re able to give anyone with a dream of directing that chance.”
