Instead of watching films on the big screen first thing on the second day of the festival, I made my acting debut in an independent short shot down on Aberystwyth’s iconic sea front. Widower, directed by South Wales based filmmaker Tom Hughes will be available online by December the 12th.
At Cannes this year, as they are every other, Troma were in attendance, bringing monsters and promises of excessive bodily fluids to the streets and this year onto the screen in the form of this insane sequel to the corny Nuke em franchise.
Salem Kapsaski delivers a real Troma treat in an outrageous, punk/rock feminist, exploitation musical that makes a clever commentary on the British welfare state. Spidarlings is the story of lesbian lovers Eden (Sophia Disgrace) and Matilda (Rahel Kapsaski), two casualties of ‘Broken Britain, struggling to make ends meet.
Troma Entertainment is an American indie film studio that has been running for over 40 years. Known particularly for fun ‘schlock’, Troma has actually had success in a number of different genres although all of their films do have their tongue somewhat in cheek.
Troma Entertainment are back with their much celebrated brand of horror in this gooey splatterfest sequel to their cult-movie classic and to celebrate the release of Return To Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1 we have a copy on DVD and a brilliant Poster up for grabs both pictured.
