Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson’s, third feature film, The Endless kickstarted the weekend portion of Abertoir for me. The screening marked my second viewing of the film having previously seen it at Celluloid Screams in Sheffield.
In Notorious November, the Abertoir Horror Festival is the event to be at in the sleepy Welsh coastal town of Aberystwyth. The twelfth edition of the long running festival celebrated a killer six days of giallo greatness, featuring pivotal figures of the sub-genre in the shape of Sergio Martino and Lamberto Bava in attendance.
Dario Argento’s second feature The Cat o’ Nine Tails not only cemented his style and flair as a director but further proved his dedication to Giallo the genre he help create and put into the mainstream.
