Five FrightFest Facts From Graham Skipper director of SEQUENCE BREAK

1.Tell us about your film?
Graham Skipper: SEQUENCE BREAK is a Cronenbergian love story where a reclusive video arcade repair technician (Chase Williamson) meets a mysterious, beautiful young woman (Fabianne Therese) as well as encounters a bizarre, malevolent arcade game. His reality begins to fracture as the game seems to invite hallucinations and bodily mutations, and he must go down the biomechanical rabbit hole to face this chaos that has entered his life.

2. How did you get into making horror movies?
Graham Skipper: When I was 10 years old my dad showed me The Exorcist for the first time and I was immediately hooked on the artistry of horror films. How could an entertainer affect me on such a visceral level? Many years later, as a horror fan, I was extremely lucky to be cast as Herbert West in Stuart Gordon’s stage adaptation of Re-Animator, and from there I met Joe Begos, who cast me in Almost Human…and the rest is history! My experience as an actor on indie horror sets led me to want to direct, and here we are!

3. What film would you love to see screened at FrightFest and why?
Graham Skipper: I’d love a retrospective screening of The Descent. To this day it’s one of my all-time favorite in-theatre experiences, and I think being in an audience full of people again watching that movie would be stellar. In fact, they should make sure at least 50% of the audience hasn’t seen it before! That would be a blast.

4. If you could create your own award to give at the FrightFest, what would it be and why?
Graham Skipper: Good question! Maybe the Joe Begos Award, for most curse words in a single film.

5. If your life was made into a horror film, what would it be called and who would play the starring role?
Graham Skipper: I would want it to be an older me battling monsters from all of my past movies, and either Bruce Campbell would play me, or if he’s unavailable then Rainn Wilson. It would be called THE SKIPPER RIPPER.
