UK release for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter brought forward

Contrary to previous information, we can reveal that Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will now be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday 20th June, 2012. This will bring it in line with the film’s US release date.

The film is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith and tells the tale of how when Abraham Lincoln’s mother is killed by a supernatural creature, he puts his political duties on hold to kick some vampire butt.

Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton (producer) and Timur Bekmambetov (director) present an original take on the United States’ 16th president and bring a fresh voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire. It also stars Benjamin Walker as Lincoln and co-stars Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Rufus Sewell.

Now we have even less time to wait to see it!
