India’s First Silent Horror Film In Production

India’s first silent horror film will commence filming by the end of the year, according to The Times of India.

The film, named Silence will begin Mumbai 125kmshooting in October and look to offer something truly new (in an old way) and unique to Indian audiences.

The film’s producer, Hemant Madhukar is a self confessed fan of Asian horrors such as The Ring and Dark Water. He was also keen to break the mould with his latest Indian horror release, Mumbai 125Km, which is set on a highway as opposed to buildings (indoor settings are far too over-used in his opinion).

Mumbai 125 Km is released in India on September 26th and uses the same stereoscopic 3D technology used in many Hollywood blockbusters and surround sound to really involve the audience.

Silence will obviously scale back on the sound at least and will no doubt draw out the inquisitive movie goers to see what all the fuss is about.
