Dead by Dawn Film Festival Gears Up

The Dead by Dawn film festival is set to unleash thrills, jumps and chills to audiences in Edinburgh again later this month.

The festival has been running for 21 years dead by dawn film festivaland was launched by director, Adele Hartley.

This year’s festival promises to provide scares both old and new with premieres and classic horror films on the bill.

The French subterranean fright ride Les Gouffres headlines, with Stuart Simpson’s tale about a lonely, obsessed ice cream van driver – Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla also getting its UK premiere.
Katee Sackhoff stars in Oculus and there are and Scottish premieres for Gerard Johnston’s Housebound and Eiji Uchida’s Graetful Dead

On the classic front, you can take your pick from Friday the 13th, The Howling and Candyman.
Plus there will be the opportunity to watch animation and shorts.

The Dead by Dawn Film Festival runs from April 24th – 27th at Cinema One at the Filmhouse, Edinburgh.
