Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter coming soon
Still in the early stages of 2012, we’re just starting to get through trickles of information on films to look forward to over the coming months.
One title, which sounds as interesting as it does strange is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, an adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel of the same name. He’s probably best known for his other curious work – Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which is also getting a film treatment (produced by and starring Natalie Portman).
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is directed by Timur Bekmambetov and tells the tale Lincoln’s lesser known adventures in killing the undead.
Although the idea does sound a bit silly, the cast is pretty serious withMary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Jimmi Simpson, Rufus Sewell, and Alan Tudyk making an appearance.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is set for the 22nd June in the US and we’ll have to wait until 2nd August for the UK release. Which is around the same time as Frightfest funnily enough… Could it end up being one of their main features?
