About Love Horror
Love Horror is a movie review site with a difference.
Instead of reviewing films for cash, or to suck up and obsess over actors, we at Love Horror strive to give good, honest reviews. Therefore making your film viewing decisions that little bit easier.
How do we do it?
Well, it’s quite simple. By employing zombies to review the films, we can guarantee impartiality. Zombies are brutally honest, and really do only give props where they are due.
Therefore, as time progresses, you will see even more insightful critiques, as the zombie brain decays and detaches itself even more from the distractions of the human mind.
About the contributors:
Zombie1
Zombie1’s origins are mysterious. No one is quite sure where he came from, or when.
He (or it) gained promotion to ‘editor’ soon after arriving at Love Horror. Although his quality of work is high and his commitment to horror is boundless, what really cemented his role in the team was when he ate the former editor.
Zombie1 and Zombie2 are now so used to each other’s company, that they can be left unsupervised to maintain the site – thus giving the rest of us plenty of time to go to the pub and generally slack off.
Zombie1 particularly likes the ‘classics’ where horror is concerned, and can often be heard moaning about how much better things were ‘in the old days’.
Zombie2
Once a regular human named Alex, Zombie2 now has little recollection of his former life.
After being ‘turned’ by a walking cadaver back in the early nineties, Zombie2 was taken in by a group of journalists as a tea boy.
After soon realising that Zombie2 had more to offer than good tea, the journalists gave him his own PC, and web access to enable him to review horror movies online.
He now loves nothing more than watching horror movies (especially the lame ones – purely for amusement) whist eating brains and taking notes for his regular entries on the site.
Mad Woman In The Attic
A few months back, the office that we rent had a heating problem.
As most of the pipework runs through the ceiling space, an engineer was called to get through the maintenance hatch and fix the issue.
Minutes after he got to work, there was a loud scream and his toolbag fell to the office floor, soaked in blood. It was then that we realised that we had our own crazed lunatic in the attic.
Before calling the police, one of our number had the great idea to pass her up a lap-top and see if she was any good at reviewing horror films. “The more unpaid reviewers we can get, the less work we have to do” he said. And he was right. Sadly for him, he was pulled up into the attic space with the lap-top and chopped into little pieces.
The Mad Woman In The Attic turned out to be a great find though, and now writes for us regularly.
Jonesy the Cat
After floating adrift in deep space for many years aboard the Sulaco, Jonesy eventually crashed to earth. The cryogenic suspension was de-activated and what emerged from the wreckage was a highly evolved, alien hybrid feline.
Tired of conflict, and looking for a new challenge (and somewhere warm to sleep) Jonesy turned up on the doorstep of the Love Horror offices.
When Jonesy isn’t catching mice, he’s writing reviews on a cute little cat-sized keyboard.
Don’t mistake his cuteness for weakness though. When Jonesy gets his claws out, no amount of catnip can calm him, as many, lesser horror films have found to their misfortune.
Deadite
During the chaos in Army of Darkness, you may or may not remember one of the deadites sneaking off through the portal and into (our) present day. That said portal actually lead straight into one of our rooms. The mens toilets to be precise. And so we discovered our newest Love Horror contributor – Deadite.
More at home with writing in the book of the dead, it took some time for our little decaying friend to pick up Word 2007. However, he got there in the end and always comes in handy for last minute invites to premiers, being able to fly in with his bat-like wings.
When not writing for Love Horror, Deadite mainly likes comic books, beer, and watching Tottenham Hotspur.
What to expect:
Going forward we hope to create a huge database of horror movies, and make Love Horror the one stop shop for scary movie fanatics.
There are also plans to have video reviews, so you’ll be able to hear and see our views – straight from the zombie’s mouth…
